Driftwood Lodge

The Driftwood Lodge runs on a great deal of love, sweat and devotion. Our staff and collaborators are also our best friends and the energy that they have put into the property over the years can be felt in the spirit of the place. The extraordinary people that have helped and worked for us over the years have all contributed to the success of the Driftwood Lodge and in difficult times, to its survival. Recent collaborators to note for their investments of time, energy, finances and undying love are Shannon Cunningham, Sarah Watling, Ewa Piorko and Becky Reid.

Kersti Tacreiter

Owner, president and manager of Driftwood Lodge, Kersti has spent her summers since the age of 3 at the Driftwood Lodge and is proud to call it home.

Jamie Jordan

Kersti’s partner and father of the “fourth Driftwood generation”, Jamie is responsible for much of the fine woodwork and general upkeep of the property.

Worker and friend extraordinaire, Benn has been on our team since 2006 doing anything and everything that needs to be done to make your stay more enjoyable.

DandyLion, Bobbi and Skunky

Our cats are more than happy to show you to your rooms and act as surrogates, should you miss your pets while vacationing. Pets are welcome at the Driftwood. (While our cats do not frequent the lodge interior, guests with allergies should be aware that it is a pet-friendly accommodation.)

Wanda Tacreiter

In November of 2010, we lost the keystone and heart of our crew - Wanda Tacreiter. Many returning guests will remember her friendly smile and wholehearted welcome. Wanda poured over 30 years of dedication, commitment and energy into the lodge along with her mother, Susan, to make it such a memorable place. Her memory will last forever in our hearts and her joy, in the laundry waving merrily in the wind.
